Studio Policies

Mission

It is our Mission to guide, teach, motivate, inspire and coach the student in their musical journey by providing Private Music Lessons, Theory Classes, Jam Sessions, Ensembles, Recitals, Newsletters, Website, Recordings and videos of performances.

Private Music Lessons meet weekly and follow the Studio Calendar.

Student Recitals are in February, May, August, October and December.

Tuition

Tuition is payment for a reserved time slot in our limited schedule.

Tuition is paid in advance for all lessons by check or through our automatic billing program. Tuition will be withdrawn on the 25th of each month for the upcoming month and is late on the 1st.  Tuition not paid by the 5th will have a $25 late fee applied.  If you enroll in our automatic billing program you will not be charged a late fee.

Our tuition is based on the average number of lessons received within the calendar year. Tuition is the same whether there are three, four, or five weeks in a month, and refunds will not be given for missed or cancelled lessons.

Tuition is payment for classes made available to you.

Tuition re-occurs monthly once lessons begin and does not change due to absences or holidays.

Upon deciding to withdraw from lessons, the family must give 30-days notice in the form of the Withdrawal Form. If the Withdrawal Form is not turned in with 30-days notice, the student is still responsible for the following month’s tuition and a refund will not be given.

Attendance/Makeup Lessons

Upon enrollment, a lesson time will be assigned based on the instructor’s time available. Since the teachers are contracted and paid per scheduled lesson, students are required to attend all scheduled lessons on time. Please be sure to choose a time that you can commit to on a regular basis.

To benefit fully from your allotted time, please arrive early, with your music and instrument, unpack and be ready to begin.

If the student is 10 minutes late, they will be considered absent and the teacher will not be expected to wait.

If the teacher has to miss, a qualified sub chosen by the instructor will be provided.

For student’s missed or cancelled lessons there are no refunds or credits.

As a courtesy to the teacher, please call when you are going to miss your lesson.

Lessons cancelled due to extenuating circumstances will be considered for makeup lessons.

We will consider no more than 3 makeup lessons during the regular school year, in lieu of makeup lessons the student may also attend the performance class to play with instructors and prepare for the recitals.

Closings/Bad Weather

Hall Music Productions will be open year-round but we will follow the CISD schedule of major holiday closings (Spring Break, Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years, Labor Day, Memorial Day, July 4th)

The studio will not necessarily close for bad weather. Many times the roads are safe by the afternoon. We will email whether class will be cancelled or not by 2:30pm. We do not prorate for bad weather.

Teacher Conferences

Our teachers are very willing to discuss your child’s progress with you. However, during class or in-between classes is not the time. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your child’s progress or if you have any questions and we will be happy to speak with you when we can give you our full attention.

I release and hold harmless Hall Music Productions, it’s owners, employees and contractors from any and all liability including personal injury.
